Product details

Acer platanoides, known as Norway Maple, is a tough urban tree that has given rise to many decorative clones.

Tolerant of most soils including clay this tree will outgrow a small garden so is best planted in large urban areas or parkland.

There are some fine examples of Norway Maple in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, where the city planners chose to plant up nearly every available verge with it in the 1970s.

Acer platanoides has a classically shaped Maple leaf that turns a lovely yellow in autumn and similar coloured flowers are produced before full leaf in the spring.

Mature height: 20m+
